Bricks by the Million: a Brief History of Lilydale's Brick Making Industry stapled at the spine. It has the title, author and publisher in black print on the front along with a black and white photograph of a drawing by the artist G. Mustaers of Hyne's Brick Kilns in 1972. There is a Contents, Preface, Introduction followed by general information about early brick making from the 1870's. Two Appendixes and a Bibliography at the end are included. The back cover has a small drawing of a two storey brick building. This is a historical publication which details the evolution of the brick-making industry in Lilydale, Victoria during the 1880s when the town was surrounded by seven major brickworks. Pp.27
