Produced in the 1930s for the repair of punctures in inner tubes of vehicle tyres.
Vulcanizing patches were used by the Forests Commission to repair small holes in canvas fire hoses.
A clamp for a vulcanizer is situated with the hose coupling tool (item DEECA Altona 24 A/217)
