Historical information

This book was originally written for a local newspaper, 'The Trader', as a 60-part weekly series and recounts the history of Emerald and District from the beginning of settlement in the 1850s until the early 1980s. The author, Gus Ryberg (1911 - 2000), was a tireless promoter of local history and was pivotal in the establishment of the Nobelius Heritage Park and of the Emerald Museum.
