Before the internet, fireweb, EMCOP and other technological marvels, this was the must-have travel kit for bushfire planning teams.
It was very heavy but doubled as a portable writing desk so it could be used in the field.
The box and drawers contained all the stationary, forms, mapping bits 'n' pieces, and other important stuff you needed, plus the little coloured cards and plastic pockets to assemble a battle board.
