Physical description

Metal badge with pin on back for fastening to a garment. The centre of the badge features a variant of the tri-services symbol - Rising Sun, anchor and pair of wings. A blue enamel semi-circle of scroll work is above with text “AUST LEGION OF”. Above is a gold coloured crown with number 49. Below tri services variant is a blue enamel V shaped banner with text “EX SERVICEMEN & WOMEN”. Recipient's member number engraved on back along with manufacturer's details.
