Historical information
The ladies were employees at the Angie Clothing Factory that operated in a former army hut erected in Barkly Street, Sunbury, now the site of a carpark. The business operated from 1946 to 1948 when it was taken over by Yakka.
Significance
During the years the Angie Factory operated in Sunbury, it was a source of employment for a number of local Sunbury women.
