Pharmaceutical Society of Australasia foundation stone, laid 17 January 1895 by Joseph George JP President. The Society had its premises at the College of Pharmacy, 360 Swanston Street, formerly the County Court buildings which were renovated and expanded in late 1894/early 1895. Joseph George was a Sydney Road pharmacist and son-in-law of Brunswick pioneer Thomas Wilkinson who lived nearby.
