"Alva Bennetts" and "Joan Jeffrey" were both deployed to BCOF and sailed together to Japan.
Card sent from Joan Jeffrey. Letter sent by Joan Jeffrey to Alva Bennetts family expressing sympathy on receiving news of Alva Bennetts death. Letter also reflects on the time together during BCOF deployment 1947-1949.

1. Christmas Card with pictures of Santa on front. Words “MERRY CHRISTMAS”. in gold lettering on front. Christmas message printed in black type on inside. Handwritten message in blue ink on inside. Cut out of senders address taped to bottom RH corner of maids(?) of card.
2. Handwritten letter in black ink on quarto sized lined page. Writing on one side only.
