Physical description

Folding basket is made from 31 strips of bamboo - 12 mm wide. The bamboo pieces are a square 'U' shape. They pivot alternatively at each end. The pivots (2) are small pieces of timber dowel. Each end of the dowel has been shaped like a 7 sided nut. There are two pieces of string - located in holes in each strip. A dull yellow piece of string is woven around each stabilising string. The two handle assemblies are also made from bamboo. There are a couple of dowels and nails holding each handle assembly together.
