Photograph, Former Buninyong Swimming Pool

Historical information

Originally built as a bluestone water reservoir, it was used as a swimming pool from 1872 to the 1930s. The site is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and remains a significant past of Buninyong's social and recreational history.
In 2025 a project was started to stabilise and preseve the 160 year old structure by adding new foundattons, replacing damages wall panels, sealing cracks and improving drainage. Vegetations from inside the pool was cleared and reinsation is planned once works are finishes (around June 2026)
