Historical information
The Pilgrims' Club, started in 1925, was founded by the Rev George Cowie, B.A., of Sydney. The club was for boys from about 11 to 14 or 15 years of age. A bout 14 or 15 they became members of The Order of the Burning Bush or some branch of the Presbyterian Fellowship of Australia. The officers were: Padre - The Minister; Pioneers - Directors; Prefect - Chairman; Pastor - Chaplain; Penman - Secretary; Purser - Treasurer; Porter - Sentinel; Precentor - Musician. The colours were blue and gold and the badge was an armband of blue and gold.
