This tray was presented to Miss E J Allen (Alfred Hospital Director of Nursing 1981-1994) By Dr Trevor Wood (Chief Executive Officer of the Alfred Hospital 1973-1988) on the occasion of the formation of the Alfred Group of Hospitals in November 1987. This was the first change of name since the hospitals founding. The change of name resulted from the merger of the Alfred Hospital, Caulfield Hospital and Royal Southern Memorial Hospital. Similar trays were presented to the other Alfred Hospital senior executives
