Exercise books were used by students in all Australian schools for class work and for homework. This may have been a homework book. It has had many pages removed and is quite thin. On a page at the back of the book there are three stamps with the date - Oct 10 1915 and one with Oct 12 1915.

Physical description

A black covered school exercise book with arithmetic, spelling, grammar handwritten in black ink. The letters LK are written inside the front cover, with the back cover having sums and sentences written.

Inscriptions & markings

On the inside of the front cover the letters 'LK' are handwritten elaborately. 'Louis Kolling' is handwritten at the top of one page. On a page at the back of the book there are three stamps with the date - Oct 10 1915 and one with Oct 12 1915.
