Historical information

Uniform items were issued to 45533 Capt Gary R Warnest (RASvy). He served from17 Feb 1970 to 26 Mar 2008 and was commissioned from the ranks as a WO1 in 1992 at the Army Survey Regiment "Fortuna" Bendigo. This uniform was on display at the "Mapmakers" Exhibition at the Bendigo Military Museum Jun- Aug 2025 for the 110th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Survey Corps.
This Uniform was originally produced for 411502 LT Geoff R CATT (RASvy) who later transferred to RAAC and reached the rank of Major. Catt and Warnest went to High School together in the Barossa Valley SA.

.1) Jacket, Officers Mess Dress Winter (Royal Australian Survey Corps - Red with Purple Lapels) with 2 x anodized "Bright Shine" RASvy lapel badges, 6 x Capt rank badges ( 3 x "pips" on each shoulder).
.2) Trousers, Mess Dress, "Blues", Black with red stripe, 3 x pockets.
.3) Waist Coat, Officers Mess Dress (RASvy) Red, 2 x front pockets, 4 x anodized "bright shine" small buttons with Australia emblem.
.4) Shirt, cotton, white, long sleeves.
.5) Bow Tie, black. (Military Issue)
.6) Cummerbund, Red - RASvy.
.7) Braces, Mess Dress, Mens White.
.8) Socks, Black, Pair.
.9) Shoes, Black, Pair, Spit polished
