No. 195-203 Nelson Place was designed by CJ Polain and constructed in 1889.
The Salisbury buildings are recorded in the Hobsons Bay Heritage Study Amended 2017 and has a Heritage Overlay No. HO223.
The building was constructed by local builder (and Councillor) Henry Hick, to the design of local architect, CJ Polian, who also designed other notable Williamstown buildings including Punshon's Federal Stores at 82-84 Ferguson Street and the Masonic Temple at 21-25 Electra Street.
