Portrait of Joseph George (1829-1903). He was a pharmacist in Sydney from 1853 to 1903. Mayor of Brunswick 1884-85.
Donor has written on the back of the photo: 'In the early years his general skill and ability as a chemist and dentist was widely known in the thinly populated locality as a regular medical man and was familiarly known as 'Doc'.'
