Physical description
The Australian Army uses the Swagger stick as a traditional ceremonial symbol of authority, commonly carried under the right arm by a Company Sergeant Major and Commissioned Officers, particularly in ceremonial or “Walking Out”dress.
The swagger stick is made of polished timber with a half shell casing on the top and the projectile casing on the bottom.
