Historical information

This book was written by Gloria Anne Bell (nee Fisher) and contains history and reminesces of her life and the Fisher family in Orbost. The Fisher family had farming property at Lochend and also along the Marlo Road. In Orbost, the Fisher Bros. had businesses including a seed bean factory located in what used to be the 'old' butter factory building in Lochiel Street, Orbost. They provided services to the seed bean growing industry in Orbost. This was a major industry until the 1970s and the KING FISHER brand was well-know, often stencilled onto bags of beans.

This book is significant because it relates much of the history of the Fisher family in the Orbost district.
