On the 2nd of May 1999, Wilma Young (nee Oram) and Vivian Statham (nee Bullwinkel), survivor of the Vyner Brooke tragedy in 1942, unveiled the Memorial to Bangka Island Nurses located in Point Walter Reserve, Honour Avenue, Bicton, Melville, Western Australia.

Physical description

Glossy finish, colour photograph of group of people sitting and standing by a pond in a park. There are two elderly women seated near the centre, a man is squatting in front of one of them, back to the photographer, there are others seated and standing around and in the background.
