Photographs show facitlies and activities providesd at the camp, and also provides other information.The Alfred Hospital provided and funded the costs of one doctor and two nurses for each Lord Mayors Children's Camps in Portsea between 1950 and 1993. The original purpose of the involvement was to provide medical examinations and services for disadvantaged children at the camps in the days when medical examinations were not provided by State Schools.
