Historical information

2704.1 is a photograph of the original Methodist Church in Orbost. Following amalgamation of churches to become the Uniting Church, this building was sold off and shifted to a different site, to become a private dwelling.
2704.2 from the earliest days of white settlement in the Orbost district and until c. 1960s, pumpkins were grown for pig and cow food.

Significance

These photographs are significant because they are a historical record of aspects of the Orbost district which no longer exist.
