Historical information

A "Vourgia" is a handmade traditional woven bag used by shepherds and farmers in Crete.
Usually they carried their food and a small bottle of wine or Cretan raki.

Physical description

Shepherds woollen woven and embroidered backpack.
Red with stripes of a geometric pattern in coloured wool.
Back is woven stripes.
Woollen pom poms(7) at base and side.
Long plaited cord at top.
