The fretwork window shade supports and the shades were added over the windows at Hymettus c. 1910 and were not an original feature, the photo was taken in the 1980s.
The photo shows the development of style to earlier architectural elements of the cottage and it's contemporaries around Ballarat in the early 1900s.
