Historical information
Originally built by E Miles in 1884, named 'Victoria Hall' named in honour of the Queen. It was purchased by Charlton Council in 1911and used as a Public Hall, Council Chambers and offices from 1911 until 1955. The two residences next door were also purchased by the Shire.
Physical description
Victoria Hall - Armstrong St Charlton. Built in 1884 by E. Miles. Buildings included a general store, cordial factory, and livery stables with a house next door. It became the Charlton Shire Hall and offices in 1911.
