Remiscecences of the author of her nursing training at the Alfred Hospital (1935-1938) including preparation. The copy of 'the Alfred' features numerous articles, including a list of nurses who had successfully passed their final exams, a list of nurses who commenced PTS in June 1937, and a list of nuring prizewinners - one of whom was Viginia Kircher (nee Catron)who placed 2nd for the Second Year General Proficiency Prize

Previous catalogue number at top right of front cover and title and most other pages page [hadwritten black ink]. inside the front cover is a small rectangular white lable on which is typed [black ink] 'Presented to the Alfred Hospital/ on the occassion of our "Nurses Reunion"./ (1937-1987) V H Kircher CATRON [handwritten black ink]. Under this is fixed a handwritten two page letter from Virginia Kircher to Mrs Anthony. Photos in book have handwritten notations [black ink]
