Historical information

Medal set and ribbon bars belonging to Pte "Robert Raymond O'Donahoo" (No. 1399). Born Epsom.
Enlisted in Bendigo on 19/10/1914 in 2nd Reinforcements of 14th Battalion, aged 22.
Embarked for Egypt 2/2/1915 and for Gallipoli on 12/4/1915. He was WIA 29/8/1915 with GSW to left leg and transferred to England where his left leg was amputated. RTA 19/6/1916 and discharged 25/12/1916.
Note: Part of O'Donahoo's record on National Archives lists his service number as 1496. His medals are marked with the number 1399.

1. Court mounted trio of WW1 Medals consisting of 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal. Ribbons on medals are new. Pin and clasp on back.
2. Ribbon bar with original trio ribbons. Pin and clasp on back.
3. Ribbon bar with new ribbons. Two pins and clips on back.
