Anzac Day school medal issued in 1916. Struck by the Education Dept of Victoria for distribution to children in 1916 to commemorate the first anniversary of the Anzac landing.

Physical description

Round copper coloured medallion. Obverse has head of George V with words 'FOR KING AND COUNTRY 1916'. Reverse has word "ANZAC' within a wreath. Around edge; DEPT OF EDUCATION VICTORIA, LEST WE FORGET 25 APRIL 1915. Loop for a ribbon on top.
