Historical information
The six stapled photocopies of typed text describe in some detail the history of the post WWII Army, and in particular the Australian Survey Corps. The first of 3 x separate pages at the rear is a summary of the recommendations, Commonwealth Survey Committee 1944. The second page describes the Military mapping programme referencing a memo from the Queensland Premier dated 2 Aug 1944 and mentions notes from the 1938 Commonwealth Survey Committee. The third page (possibly incomplete) is from the Conference of the Commonwealth Survey Committee and the State Surveyor General held at Canberra 15 20 Jan 1945.
