Historical information
Two 1:50 scale die-cast models of ex-military World War II 'blitz' 4X4 trucks fitted out as fire tankers as used in the 1950s by volunteer brigades throughout Australia.
A number of similar trucks used by the Royal Australian Air Force were purchased by the Forests Commission after the War and fitted out as fire-fighting tankers in either the original Air Force colours or painted red.
The models were issued by 'Top Gear' (makers of 'Trax' and 'Trux' brands of collectible Australian cars and trucks) to help raise funds for the fire brigades. Purchased in 2005
