Newspaper article/obituary with photograph, detailing the life of L/Cpl "Donald David Parker" who was Killed in Action in Korea in 1952.
The DVA nominal roll has him as No 3400693 (born Bendigo) 20.2.1932, served with 3 RAR in Korea from 14.8.1952 - 2.9.1952, KIA 2.9.1952, rank L/Cpl.
The article states he was born in Kurumburra and moved to Bendigo as a child. Began his National Service Training last February, sailed for Japan 4/5 months ago, he was in 12 Pl D Coy age 19 at death.
Given he turned 18 on 20.2.1950. (Persons 18 or turning 18 on 1.11.1950 had to register for National Service Training)
That makes Donald 20 years 8 months when he was KIA.
The Anzac Portal states there was at least 3 National Servicemen who then enlisted in the Regular Forces and were KIA in Korea.
3 RAR served in Korea from September 1950 - 1954.
