Significance

This riding crop is significant for its association with the Ziebell family of Westgarthtown and its connection to rural life in Victoria. Made of wood with a bone handle and leather tip.

Donated by Janet Hubbard, the riding crop is believed to have been used by her grandmother, Annie Ziebell (née Robertson). Its provenance provides a tangible link to Annie's life and contributes to an understanding of the personal histories of one of Westgarthtown's founding families.
