Green cloth bound hardback book, with red tape to spine.T'WARD REGISTER' embossed inn gilit in centre of front cover. Pages have black print with red lines definining 22 columns across two pages. Each column has a heading relating to patient admission. 'ALFRED HOSPITAL WARD REGISTER' printed at top.

previous catalogue number handwritten [black ink] on cloth and a small white sticker at top right of front cover. On front end page at top right 'YEARS C 1970 - 1988 / TEACHING AID/SCHOOL of NURSING' [pencil] Fictitious entries have been made on 40 pages
