Container - Harney's dairy glass milk bottle

Historical information

This bottle originated from the M. H. Harney dairy, one of several dairy farms that existed in the locality of Williamstown, Spotswood and Newport. The M. H. Harney dairy was located at No 3 Collingwood Road, Newport, opposite to the old power station, which no longer exists.

Small, clear glass milk bottle with front and back embossed inscriptions.

Inscriptions & markings

Front: (embossed) "This Bottle Contains MILK Bottled for Sale by M.H.Harney. Phone W'Town 743/3 Collingwood Rd Newport. Bottle is the property of the above, it is loaned and cannot be legally used by others".
Back: "One Imperial Pint."
