Mt Beauty High School was proclaimed in 1963 with 213 pupils, and 12 staff members. The enrolments and staff numbers increased as the Kiewa Hdro Electric Scheme continued to be constructed.
Significance
The list of students indicates that the numbers of students varied each year along with the construction of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. It also shows that many of the families were of European origin based on their surnames.
