Historical information

Thomas and Hannah Briggs arrived from Kent, England. In 1860 they travelled to Yackandandah Gold Fields. Settled near Mullagong and selected land along the Kiewa River. They had 7 children.

Significance

The Briggs were early farmers in the Kiewa Valley - Tawonga. Includes documents (copied) of land sale and teacher appointments. Includes a CD (labelled) and photos of the Briggs family.also labelled.
