Erected to the memory of Geddie Pearse by the teachers and scholars of Buninyong and Daylesford State Schools Being their first head teacher appointed Inspector March, 1878 Died at Daylesford 11th May 1878 Aged 43 Years In Peace resting on Jesus the sure foundation. His Beloved Wife Judith Anne Died in Melbourne 22nd March 1882 Aged 47 years He giveth His Beloved Sleep
