Historical information

The Upper Kiewa Valley Lions Club sponsored and was the organizing committee for the event held on 29th and 30th April 1971. This was the first time an organisation conducted a National Ploughing contest for the National body.

Significance

Held on Ted Cooper's property with the support of local companies and associations eg. 'Tawonga Scouts for cleaning the area'. UKV Lions Club was an active community organisation in the Kiewa Valley

Physical description

A4 pale blue cardboard cover and white paper page both folded in half and stapled as an A5 booklet. Title on front covers includes the logo of the Lions Club - Upper Kiewa Valley. All pages have typed information including the details of the Associations, a Preface, names of competitors, Acknowledgements and previous winners.
