Historical information

The Afghan waistcoat, most commonly called sadri, also waskat or bandi. A short, sleeveless vest worn over a tunic, both practical and ceremonial. Its materials and cut reflect region and climate, velvet or heavy wool for urban festive wear, handwoven cotton or light wool for rural use.
