Historical information

1.Tailrace and "Boating Shutters" were part of tthe SECV construction of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme.(1948 - 1961)
2. House 20 Beauty Ave. was in the town of Mt Beauty and constructed in the 1950s.

Significance

The tailrace (and house) were constructed by the SECV during the construction of the Kiewa Hydro electric Scheme. The Tailrace names some of the SECV workers.
The house is in the snow - not a common occurence and in this case was thought to be in 1971.
