Historical information

SECV constructed the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme from the late 1940s to 1961. This included race lines, which caused the water to flow into the dams and also, train/rail lines that were used to move from one end of the race-line to the other.

Significance

Part of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme constructed by the SECV. Upkeep of their construction possibly after a slip (of dirt off the bank) possibly caused by heavy rain or flood.
