Silver chatelaines were a Victorian delight, a clasp at the waistline and an assortment of tools attached were worn by proud Victorian upper class ladies

Significance

An example of a silver gilt chatelaine which was donated to the Embroiderers Guild by Nerylla Taunton who was a significant Australian antique needlework tools authority and author.

Silver plated Chatelaine. Waist clip and five chains linked by brass rings holding needlecase, thimble bucket, book pin cushion, note book and scissors sheath
