Historical information
The first group of 5 x pages dictates the policy regarding map sheet joins at the Army Survey Regiment. It includes definitions, principles and action to be taken on discovering a misjoin, the requirements and the recording of any misjoin information. It includes a sample page for inclusion in the Production Data Folder (PD Folder) a red striped folder that accompanied every map being produced.
The second group is a schedule of interviews of Carto Sqn Members for their annual performance review PR66 believed to be by Maj Dave Bowen (US Engineers) who was OC Carto in 1982. Whilst the schedule is less important, the list of names is a good record of those who were in Carto Sqn and which Section they were employed in at that time. The last page is a list of Carto Sqn members who had expressed an interest in being transferred onto the Army Survey Regiment Automap 2 or Automap 3 System. Automap 3 never eventuated but rather Automap2 had a software and hardware upgrade named "Project Newheart".
