Private John James DAVEY, (Service no: VX36925) was born in Williamstown on 5 June 1919 and enlisted in the Australian Army on 17 July 1940. He served in the 8th Division Signals, AIF, and in 1942 was captured in Malaya, and held as a Prisoner of War in Osaka Japan.
