Sergeant Hugh Sydney George RICHARDSON, (Service no: 410093) was born in Warracknabeal on 25 October 1919 and lived in Williamstown. He enlisted in the RAAF on 12 April 1938 and served in the Base Torpedo Unit (Nowra). He was killed in an aircraft accident on the 14 April 1943, when Beaufort aircrafts A9-268 and A9-27 collided, off Jervis Bay NSW. All eight crew members from both aircraft died.
