Historical information
The "Tin Hat Appeal" was established in 1922 after the end of WWI. It raised funds to benefit returned soldiers who had fallen on hard times after the war and during the Great Depression. It continued during WW2 and into the 1950s.

Oval, domed with flattened brim ( like a miniature soldiers helmet). 25mmx27mm

Obverse: Black Writing on Yellow ground: ‘Tin Hat Appeal For Comforts. RSL War Service Fund.’
Reverse: Unmarked with Metal fold-over tag as fastener
