This bottle of 4711 Eau de Cologne was given to Mary Wyatt (1915-2000) when she was living at the Cascades Guesthouse at Clematis. It was given to her by one of the guests. Mary would occasionally receive presents from guests who felt sorry for her as she was in a lonely situation at the Cascades. She had been sent from England to stay with relations who ran the guesthouse when she was eight and assumed that she would be returning home. However, she never did. She later married George A'Vard, a local farmer, and became a long-time resident of Emerald. 4711 Eau de Cologne is a classic and historical perfume. Mary treasured this gift so much so that she never used it.
