Sergeant Edward Henry EMERSON, Service No: VX1607 was born in Williamstown on 25 November 1918 and lived in Williamstown, schooling at Williamstown High School. He enlisted in the Australian Army on 5 November 1939 and served in the 6th Division Signals and 9th Division Signals within United Kingdom, Middle East, New Guinea, Northern Australia, and Borneo.
