In June 1925, a big flood in the Snowy River at Orbost occurred. These photos in THE LEADER newspaper record some of the effects on the Orbost district.

The one on the l. h. s. shows three people in a small boat in floodwaters. The one on the right is of two men standing near an old car and looking into water.
