Historical information
The series of Forests Commission posters was first published in 1977 and were part of a set of forest drives.
The production of posters continued into the era of the new Department Conservation, Forest and Lands (CFL) period from 1984 onwards as old ones were reprinted with a new logo and more images added.
They proved very popular and were widely sold at weekend markets and departmental offices. It seemed just about every doctor's surgery had at least one on the walls.
The posters were generously donated by Alan Mason and scanned.
