a WWII Australian Female Relatives (AKA To the Women of Australia) Badge, issued to women with family members serving abroad.

Inscriptions & markings

Obverse: The single star on the suspended bar indicates one family member was serving abroad. The design features a cental map of Australia surrounded by a laurel wreath and topped with a King's Crown. Between the inner and outer wreaths are inscribed the words ‘TO THE WOMEN OF AUSTRALIA’.
Reverse: The maker of this badge was G & E Rodd (imprinted on Base), dated 1940. Central hinged pin fastener. Below fastener number 23533. Above fastener ‘ISSUED BY THE C’WEALTH GOV’T’
Suspended Bar: One star indicates one family member serving overseas
